Revival_Villains.jpgFinally the first day of Sugar Creek’s highly anticipated revival celebration arrives! But for some of the town’s residents, the morning begins on a sour note… which leads to sour thoughts and the possibility of sour plans. The gang anticipates the upcoming evening’s events together with a swim in the creek… until the bullies show up. After a water scuffle, Big Bob Till tips off the gang to the possibility that the celebration might be in great jeopardy. Upon arrival at the revival, the gang members don their thinking caps and scour the area searching for clues. Join the gang in their race against nightfall to discover if there’s any truth to Big Bob’s threat… before the threat comes true!

The anticipated follow-up that continues the story that left viewers of the previous episode begging for more! Sugar Creek Gang continued…

This past Saturday, June 26, I returned to the set of the Sugar Creek Gang to finish the revival scene. We started again around 11:30 AM and around 6:00 PM the extras were allowed to leave. I, however was invited to stay for additional scene work if I so desired. Well of course I did! We did not finish until 11:45 PM. Another very long day, but it was worth it. It was lots of fun.

Sugar Creek Gang

On June 19th, 2004, I was an extra in the production of The Sugar Creek Gang series. SCG is based on a series 36 of books by the same name. This summer, Kalon Media are producing 5 episodes. In this particular episode, there is a plot to ruin the revival set for that afternoon and the kids of the Sugar Creek Gang must solve the mystery.

I arrived at 11:30 AM and shooting began around 12:30. The site was at a pond with a buffet table setup, tables for everyone to eat at and a large covered pavilion where the revival would take place. Shooting did not conclude till 10:00 PM. A very long day.

I had loads of fun watching and leaning what was going on. What did I do? Well I was always in the background but required to pantomime conversations. The microphones are very sensitive to noise, so no actual talking.

I am invited to return next Saturday.
